    We offer a flat fee for our initial consultation, which spans up to two hours and includes a comprehensive design profile. The fee for this service is $595 inc GST, and you'll receive a comprehensive Scope of Works and Service Proposal after the consultation.


    During the consultation, we provide on-the-spot design advice, direction, answer questions and give recommendations and inspiration, ensuring the consultation is worth the investment. We also take the time to understand your needs, wants, and desires for your project.

  • What's included in the Initial Consultation?

    Our Initial Consultation is conducted at your home or project site and lasts up to 2 hours. During the consultation, we will start with a tour of your home or site, providing expert advice and recommendations while determining the design direction. We will discuss your design style, lifestyle needs, vision (and ours), budget, timeframe, and design process.

    After the consultation, we will prepare and provide you with a tailored Design Brief and Service Proposal, outlining the next steps.

  • How do I prepare for the Initial Consultation?

    The best approach is to begin by gathering inspirations and ideas for your space. Decide on a budget that aligns with your goals and be clear about your lifestyle and practical needs. Prepare to discuss your preferences in styles, colours, and materials with your designer to ensure a cohesive vision for your project.

  • What are your Design Fees?

    Additional fees to the initial consultation are based on the specific scope of your project.


    Each project is unique, making the initial consultation essential to understanding its specifics. This allows us to develop a project-specific Design Brief and Service Proposal. The proposal includes a fixed fee, calculated based on the estimated working hours required.

  • How do I know what services I need?

    It's okay if you're unsure of the services you require. During the Initial Consultation, we will help ascertain your needs.

    We work on projects of all sizes. You might need a whole house furnished and decorated, or perhaps just a kitchen or bathroom redesigned and renovated. Our range of services includes everything from selecting paint colours and window furnishings to designing and decorating your entire home.

    We often work in phases as budget allows, so a small project can often lead to something more extensive down the track.

  • How do you work with tradespeople?

    When it comes to building and renovations, establishing relationships with suppliers, tradespeople, and builders is crucial. We often recommend our team of trusted professionals, who are fully insured and licensed, to work on your project. However, as the client, you will be responsible for any contract arrangements and fee negotiations.

    For these projects, we provide an administration service, liaising with trades throughout the building process to uphold the design intent.

    In decoration projects, we have a network of contacts for window treatment manufacturing and installation, re-upholstery, custom cushion making, and wallpaper installation.

  • What method and hours can I contact you?

    Our studio operates Monday to Friday, from 9am to 5pm. We understand that these hours may not always suit your schedule, and we are flexible to accommodate your needs.

    Like you, we often have great ideas late in the evening or over the weekend! While it may be tempting to send a text message or direct message on Instagram, we recommend using email instead. Email ensures that all communication, thoughts, feedback, and decisions are recorded and tracked efficiently. This method helps us maintain a comprehensive record of our discussions, ensuring nothing gets overlooked and benefiting both parties involved.

    We offer services spanning from Bayside to the Inner East, covering areas such as Mornington and the Bellarine Peninsula. ABP Interiors also operates interstate.
